Job Description

This is a key role, partnering closely with senior leaders to shape and deliver a people strategy that drives performance, engagement, and sustainable growth.
Blending strategic influence with hands-on delivery, you will play a pivotal role in supporting leaders through organisational change, strengthening management capability, and ensuring effective, compliant people practices across multiple sites.
The Role
- Strategic Partnership – You will act as a trusted advisor to retail and commercial leadership teams, aligning people priorities with business goals.
- Leadership Coaching & Development – Coaching and influencing leaders to build capability, improve decision-making, and foster high-performing teams.
- Employee Relations – Lead on complex ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence cases.
- HR Cycles & Projects – Ownership of engagement surveys, performance reviews, reward cycles, and talent planning.
- Talent & Workforce Planning – Support workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development initiatives.
- Commercial Focus – Provide insight on productivity, cost management, and operational performance.
- Compliance & Best Practice – Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation.
- HR Operations – Ensure accurate HR administration and data integrity.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a multi-site retail environment
- Strong track record of managing complex employee relations cases
- Experience supporting organisational change, including restructures
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in a commercially focused setting
Skills & Capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong commercial awareness with ability to link people strategy to business outcomes
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and risk management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience delivering HR programmes and annual people processes
This role comes with a hybrid working set up, expectation is 3 days a week in the office.
