Material Handler

The Opportunity

Forming part of the production team, the primary purpose of this role is to carry out the movement of materials safely, efficiently and without damage.

You will be responsible for;

• Handling and moving materials, incoming and finished goods
• Stock management of all material held
• Providing verbal and written communication when necessary
• Comprehensive recording of all necessary information
• Providing assistance with maintenance activities on plant and machinery.
• Packing materials as required
• Preparation of sample sheets and maintenance of sample stock
• Training new operatives as required

This is a C Grade 3 shift role working 12 hour shifts over a rolling pattern which will be discussed in more depth after application.

What will make you successful?

• Practical expertise in warehouse operations including a Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence and ideally a full driving licence
• Knowledge of stock systems and stocktaking procedures
• Knowledge of quality procedures
• Safety, and environment knowledge and skills such as Fork Lift Truck safety, safe vehicle loading, COSHH, movement and storage of dangerous goods and waste/broke management.
• Goods inwards and finished goods procedures and documentation
