An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Parts Manager to join our busy team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd Carlisle.
As a Parts Manager you will report to the Dealer Principal and will be responsible for our large parts operation serving both external customers and our busy service department. Through supporting the team members, you will drive forward the department and maximise sale opportunities and always provide excellent customer service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the department.
- Work with the Dealer Principal to maximise profit in all areas of responsibility.
- Translate business strategy in to operational plans for the parts department.
- Develop, coach and mentor our Parts Advisors, to ensure they achieve their objectives.
- Deliver results to meet and where possible exceed agreed budgets and targets.
- Develop and agree parts stockholding at agreed levels to ensure first time availability of parts to all customers.
- To work effectively with all other key personnel within the branch to establish and implement best practice and ensure our customers receive exceptional customer service.
- Communicate and work effectively with our manufacturers and suppliers.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience within a Parts or Aftersales department, preferably managerial.
- You will be an effective leader with excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Have excellent organisational skills and effective time management.
- Possess high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- IT literate.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge and previous use of IBCOS Gold software would be advantageous.
