Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group (ILG) a growing group of independent preparatory schools and nurseries are looking to recruit an experienced HR Administrator, based at our head office in Stanmore. The purpose of the role will be to help deliver a first class timely and accurate HR service ensuring that each stage of the HR administration process is successfully completed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Support Head of HR in recruitment across all settings, track applications, prepare shortlisting packs, invite candidates, process references and DBS checks.
  • Employee Records: Maintain Single Central Register and electronic staff files, record DBS information.
  • Operational HR: Administer new starters, leavers, probation periods, assist with HR projects.
  • Payroll: Support payroll information and annual salary review.
  • Safeguarding: Attend training, apply KCSIE guidelines, create SCR files, stay updated with regulations.
  • Regulatory Areas: Ensure compliance with government and non-governmental regulations, health and safety.

Person Specifications

  • Experience in recruitment and generalist HR support role.
  • Highly organised, excellent administrative skills, ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible, can-do approach, ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation, accuracy, attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, experience with databases.
  • Understand confidentiality and safeguarding in a school environment.

Proven Experience/Education Level

  • Strong administration skills with accuracy.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 2 A levels or equivalent.
