The Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Children and Young People’s service are on an exciting journey in its implementation of Family Safeguarding. The role of the Mental Health Practitioner will be a critical role within our Adult Worker Practice Hub – alongside other disciplines (Probation, Police, Mental Health and Substance Misuse) you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • As the Mental Health Practitioner, you will have a recognised core mental health qualification and strong experience in completing comprehensive adult mental health assessments, provide high quality suitable interventions, support and safety planning in a timely manner.
  • You will have proven career background in adult mental health and be skilled in providing practical support and strategies in response to urgent needs.
  • You will have experience of working and collaborating with a wide range of multi-agency professionals establishing clear referral pathways and risk management.
  • You will have strong knowledge of all relevant legislation, safeguarding protocols and procedures relating to Mental Health.
