Veterinary Patient Care Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a pro-active Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our fantastic team. PCAs work in all areas of practice, and it will be necessary to accept instruction from a variety of people.

  • Prepare theatre for surgeries
  • Clean and maintain the quality of instruments
  • Assist with patient care and husbandry
  • Run in-house lab tests and package biological samples
  • Assist with reception and client care

Duties

  • Cleaning, disinfection and preparation of patient accommodation
  • Actively maintain the hospital and follow infection control procedures
  • Assist with reception, answering telephones, booking procedures, taking payments
  • Assist Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, and support staff
  • Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, understanding, and empathy
