Veterinary Patient Care Assistant

About the Role
We are looking for a pro-active Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our fantastic team. PCAs work in all areas of practice, and it will be necessary to accept instruction from a variety of people.
- Prepare theatre for surgeries
- Clean and maintain the quality of instruments
- Assist with patient care and husbandry
- Run in-house lab tests and package biological samples
- Assist with reception and client care
Duties
- Cleaning, disinfection and preparation of patient accommodation
- Actively maintain the hospital and follow infection control procedures
- Assist with reception, answering telephones, booking procedures, taking payments
- Assist Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, and support staff
- Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, understanding, and empathy
