Veterinary Patient Care Assistant

Location: Collards Lane, Haslemere, Surrey

Hours: Full time (40-hour week)

Salary: £26,701 per annum

About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking to expand their Nursing team by recruiting for a Patient Care Assistant. In this role you have the opportunity to work alongside a supportive and friendly team while gaining experience in the veterinary industry.

Your Role Will Include

  • Assisting the Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses
  • Covering reception occasionally
  • Animal handling
  • Helping the inpatient nurse care for the patients
  • Assisting in preparing animals for surgeries
  • Liaising with the operating team to set up in between procedures
  • Assisting in ultrasounds and much more!

Hours of Work

  • 40-hour week
  • 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 8am - 12pm) but with time back in lieu
  • Different shift roles to include working with the operating team, working with the inpatient team and front of house
  • Shifts vary between 8am – 5pm and 10am -7pm
