About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide first class support to allocated Partners and Associates across our Employment, Immigration and Data, Privacy & Cyber legal practice groups. You will act as their 'ambassador' both within the firm and externally.

  • Be the first point of contact for clients, dealing with them efficiently and appropriately.
  • Build a working knowledge of the legal area of expertise of allocated Partners and Associates.
  • Ensure sensitivity and confidentiality when dealing with clients and colleagues.
  • Co-ordinate billing/credit control and accounting matters.
  • Maintain allocated Partners and Associates diaries.
  • Schedule internal and external meetings.
  • Assist with marketing activities.
  • Prepare client correspondence and documents.
  • Answer calls in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Develop a sufficient knowledge of the division's work.
  • Take an active part in developing own role.
  • Assist with workload of secretarial colleagues across all GB offices.

About You

You will have a professional manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and previous experience working in a secretarial role in a legal environment. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • At least two years of previous legal secretarial experience.
  • Good eye for detail – a high level of accuracy is essential.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and support a number of people.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • A confident and natural communicator.
  • Ability to be proactive and work on own initiative.
  • Ability to motivate and train other members of the secretarial team.
  • Team player and enthusiastic.
