About the Team
Our Corporate team is consistently top ranked for corporate M&A. We are ranked in Tier 1 by Legal 500 and Band 1 by Chambers & Partners. The team currently consists of 16 partners, 15 associates, three legal directors, two trainees, one paralegal and a knowledge lawyer, together with a high quality secretarial and word processing support team. The team operates as one combined team based across the London, Manchester, Cardiff and Belfast offices and consists of corporate, tax, banking and finance experts.
About the Role
As our Corporate Transaction Services Lawyer, you will take the lead across the Corporate team's London, Manchester, Cardiff and Belfast offices on transaction services and related functions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing transactional due diligence exercises.
- Developing best-practice for Corporate due diligence and reporting.
- Working with the Technology team to identify tools for transaction services.
- Providing training to specialist lawyers on risks and issues.
- Developing products in adjacent areas, such as legal audit services.
- Preparing business development content.
- Supporting the Corporate team on other transactional work.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in Corporate/M&A working on UK transactions, with experience of legal technology, legal project management or legal process design.
- Excellent written, analytical and communication skills as well as strong attention to detail.
- An ambitious, proactive, commercial and responsive attitude.
- A keen interest in developing technology-driven solutions and improving processes.
- Comfort with taking responsibility and dealing directly with clients and colleagues across multiple offices.
- A team player who is keen to support others to learn.
- A keen interest in developing marketing and business development skills.
