Capital Allowances Consultant

Location: London

Salary: £60,000

A leading Tax Advisory firm is looking to appoint a Capital Allowances Consultant to join its growing specialist team. This is an opportunity to work within a well-established practice, advising a broad range of clients on optimising tax relief across property and capital expenditure.

Key responsibilities

  • Identifying and preparing capital allowances claims within tax computations and advisory reports
  • Analysing property expenditure to determine qualifying allowances
  • Working closely with surveyors and property specialists to assess and value qualifying assets
  • Producing detailed technical reports to support claims and positions taken
  • Advising clients on capital allowances opportunities across acquisitions, disposals, and developments
  • Supporting with HMRC queries or enquiries as part of wider tax reviews
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in Capital Allowances, ideally within a consultancy or advisory environment
  • Strong understanding of UK tax legislation relating to capital allowances
  • Exposure to property, construction, or real estate-led projects
  • Ability to interpret technical and financial information
  • Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach
