Cloud Administrator responsible for engineering AWS cloud-based infrastructure and operational tools, managing capacity and performance, and utilizing automation tools. Requires extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, ELB, S3, VPC, IAM), configuration management (Chef), and security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Automate and improve infrastructure using Chef for configuration management.
  • Setup and build AWS infrastructure.
  • Set-up Software in AWS.
  • Migrate S/W components to AWS.
  • Create snapshots and AMIs.
  • Setup VPCs in AWS.
  • Application deployment and data migration on AWS.
  • Configuring DNS failover.
  • Automation and continuous integration processes.
  • Redesign infrastructure for high availability using multiple availability zones.

Skill Sets Required

  • Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in large cross-account environment leveraging IAM and federated SSO.
  • Expert with AWS services: IAM, VPC, Config, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Passionate about alerting, monitoring and uptime.
  • Configuration management and automation experience.
  • Security background and experience with DDOS mitigation and IDPS.
  • Experience managing Hardware Security Modules.
  • Production experience with Docker.
  • Strong experience with AWS components: EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling, S3, Glacier, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RedShift, SNS, IAM.
