Regional Technical Manager

Purpose of the role
Provide technical/project support to customers and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] employees. Maintain Regional database and promote [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] K-Con products and Technical services to Contractors and Consultants.
Daily duties and responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to all [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] employees.
- Assist customers in all technical advice and support as required.
- Provide assistance to sales and administration colleagues by accepting telephone orders, enquiries and technical queries.
- Maintain familiarity with all supplied air conditioning and refrigeration products.
- Responsible for increasing levels of technical ability at regional level.
- To increase quality and effectiveness of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] design team, regularly monitoring service levels.
- Management of Regional customer and project database (SS08, Bantech & System 42) in conjunction with Divisional Sales Director.
- Liaise with Divisional Sales Managers and National K-Con Manager on new products, design changes and services.
- Train and educate all [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] staff in all Mitsubishi and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (K-Con) products.
- Attend site when required to resolve warranty and/or technical disputes.
- Maintain regular market intelligence on competitive pricing policies, product range and special promotions.
- Actively participate in regular Branch Staff Meetings.
- Responsible for providing Power Point training presentations.
- Develop and maintain effective inter-personal relationships with Regional Project Managers and Branch staff ensuring a high standard of teamwork.
- Provide entertainment/hospitality to develop and maintain good customer relationships, recognising that some events will occur out of normal working hours.
- Regular liaison with Regional Technical Manager – (After Sales) to form a collaborative approach to technical support lines, spares enquires and sales, warranty requirements, site services (including commissioning), fault finding, strip down/rebuild etc., to establish an overall Regional Technical Support Team to all [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] staff and customers.
Requirements
- Communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
- User experience of K8 or other ERP system advantageous but not essential.
