Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 dependent on experience

Welcome bonus: £5,000 paid with successful passing of probation

Responsibilities of appointment:

  • Under the overall direction, the Headteacher plays a lead role in formulating the aims, objectives of the schools and establishing the policies through which they are to be achieved.
  • Lead by example, holding and articulating clear values and moral purpose, and focusing on providing excellent education for all pupils.
  • Provide direction and line management of the senior leadership team.
  • Be responsible for the standards and curriculum of all pupils including monitoring of progress towards achievement.
  • To have a central responsibility for raising the quality of teaching and learning and for pupils' achievement. Setting high expectations and monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of learning outcomes
  • Manage safeguarding across the school and take action according to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
  • Provide curriculum leadership across the school.
  • Lead regular reviews of all school systems to ensure statutory requirements are being met and improved on where appropriate.
  • Lead on Ofsted inspections including the independent schools' standards.
  • Manage staff development programmes and school resources.
  • Lead on formulating and reviewing the School Development Plan.
