SEND Teaching Assistant
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is hiring a SEND Teaching Assistant at Liverpool Progressive School in Liverpool, Merseyside L9 1NR. Salary: £26,228 - £27,593 per year, Full Time (37.5 hours/week).
Purpose of the Role
To support teaching and learning by assisting teachers in delivering education and care to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The Teaching Assistant will embody the EPIC values and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment that promotes pupil wellbeing and achievement.

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Liverpool Progressive School. The school provides specialist education which supports the educational needs of young people aged 8 – 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs and a range of associated social, emotional, interaction and sensory difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities
- Assist with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management
- Daily reports on learners’ progress and barriers to learning
- Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basis
Requirements
- A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
- At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
- A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous
