Faculty Operations Support Manager

The Role

This role supports the Deputy Dean, Faculty Operations Manager and the Faculty Leadership Team in creating, developing, communicating and implementing the Faculty’s Vision, Strategy, Plan and ambitious growth agenda. At the centre of the Faculty and its operations, this role understands, supports and contributes to the development of the Faculty’s operating model and activities, bringing together stakeholders to deliver major projects to time, cost and quality.

The post holder manages the Faculty Support Office ensuring the provision of effective professional administration support to the Deputy Dean, Faculty Leadership Team and wider stakeholders. Building and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism by co-ordinating all aspects of day-to-day general operational administration and service delivery for the Faculty. In addition, the post holder oversees governance in the Faculty including the effective planning, preparation and action management of key committees and other Faculty-wide groups.

This is a key role in the Faculty and will work closely with stakeholders to embed excellent customer service, high quality project management and a culture of continuous improvement.

The Person

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will have experience of working with senior staff and of managing professional staff to deliver highest quality services. Alongside outstanding planning, organisational and time management skills, you will have experience of managing multiple and diverse projects and extensive knowledge of ICT, including experience in data analysis, explaining and disseminating information efficiently and effectively. In addition, you will have the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in all three Schools and the wider University.
