About the Job
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join their team at their site in Telford. The role of the Operations Manager will be to support the Managing Director/General Manager overseeing agreed business operations for the profitable development and growth of the business within the broad strategy set by the Board.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with your colleagues in the execution of company business strategies to meet goals agreed with the Managing Director and the board;
- Support the communication and implementation of Company and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group policies and regulatory guidelines throughout the business as cascaded by [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] HQ and make certain they are being adhered to at all times;
- Assist with the development and motivation of staff to create a workforce with the relevant skill set, where potential is being developed, effective succession plans are in place and employees are contributing to the overall performance of the business;
- Assist with the management of resources and costs affectively to maximise the probability of the Company;
- Support the operational performance of the Company by managing the day to day operation in accordance with agreed process and procedures to deliver high customer service levels;
- Consistently analysis the current process and procedures and implement continuous improvements to drive commercial compliance and effectiveness.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) or equivalent would be desirable
- Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, Road Transport Regulations
- Transport and warehousing industry
- Working knowledge of transport and warehouse management systems
- Proven operational experience of logistics services
- Management of multi-functional teams
- Experience of analysing and solving business problems
- Enhancing and developing customer satisfaction and business growth
