About the job

  • Work closely with your colleagues in the execution of company business strategies to meet goals agreed with the Managing Director and the board;
  • Support the communication and implementation of Company and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group policies and regulatory guidelines throughout the business as cascaded by [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] HQ and make certain they are being adhered to at all times to safeguard the Company’s compliance and ensure a consistent approach is being delivered across the Group;
  • Assist with the development and motivation of staff to create a workforce with the relevant skill set, where potential is being developed, effective succession plans are in place and employees are contributing to the overall performance of the business;
  • Assist with the management of resources and costs affectively to maximise the probability of the Company;
  • Support the operational performance of the Company by managing the day to day operation in accordance with agreed process and procedures to deliver high customer service levels;
  • Consistently analysis the current process and procedures and implement continuous improvements to drive commercial compliance and effectiveness.

Your knowledge and experience

  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) or equivalent would be desirable
  • Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, Road Transport Regulations
  • Transport and warehousing industry
  • Working knowledge of transport and warehouse management systems
  • Proven operational experience of logistics services
  • Management of multi-functional teams
  • Experience of analysing and solving business problems
  • Enhancing and developing customer satisfaction and business growth
  • Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our Company values: Safe, Talented, Attentive, Reliable
