Assembly Operator

Location: South Lanarkshire
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour starting rate
Job Type: Temporary Ongoing
Shift: Day Shift – 4 Day Working Week

Job Description

Reporting to the production supervisor, you will assist in the assembly of aluminium products, ensuring quality standards and production deadlines are met.

This role involves heavy lifting and working with aluminium materials, therefore previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is essential. Candidates must also be confident using both manual and power tools safely and effectively.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 06:30 Start

Own transport essential due to location and lack of public transport.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Setting Machines in a busy production facility
  • Working with various departments to ensure smooth process from production to despatch
  • Assembling aluminium parts with quality in mind
  • Ensuring client specifications are recorded and traceable
  • Heavy lifting and manual handling duties throughout the shift
  • Using manual and power tools safely and efficiently

Previous Experience

  • Experience working with metal, particularly aluminium
  • Working to client specifications and order deadlines
  • Confident in reading spec drawings and machine set up
  • Experience in fast-paced production / manufacturing facilities
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of manual and power equipment
  • Previous assembly or engineering experience preferred

  • Strong in quality control, attention to detail
  • Exceptional organisational skills to ensure orders are processed correctly on time
  • Level-headed and able to work under pressure when required
  • Team player who enjoys a manufacturing environment and seeing products through to completion
  • Takes pride in their work
  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting duties
