About the role

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Senior Category Manager to play a pivotal role within our Grocery channel during a key period. Reporting into the Category Leadership team, you will build trusted, insight‑led category partnerships, delivering compelling recommendations that drive category growth and increase [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’ share.

You will own core category processes for your customers, bringing clarity and direction through strong analysis, clear storytelling and commercially focused thinking. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and wider Central functions, you’ll help shape customer plans, influence in‑store execution and ensure insight sits at the heart of decision‑making.

What will you be doing?

  • Building trusted category partnerships Act as a Category Partner across the Grocery channel, using best‑in‑class insights to influence customer thinking and drive meaningful change in store
  • Leading range and space reviews Deliver robust range reviews, planogram proposals and post‑evaluation, ensuring ranges are optimised, relevant and driving sustainable category and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] growth
  • Turning data into compelling stories Interrogate multiple data sources, including syndicated and customer data, to create clear, actionable insights that support customer engagement and internal decision‑making
  • Owning category reporting and scorecards Lead internal and external period reporting and evolve monthly scorecards to highlight performance, risks and opportunities for both category and brand growth
  • Supporting wider commercial plans Play a key role in annual brand planning and account planning cycles, aligning priorities with Sales and building persuasive, customer‑ready recommendations

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in Category Management With a proven track record of customer‑facing engagement and influencing outcomes within the grocery channel
  • Strong insight and storytelling capability Able to simplify complex data into clear, compelling recommendations that drive action
  • Commercial confidence and credibility Experienced at influencing stakeholders to make changes in store that deliver category growth
  • Collaborative working style An inclusive team player who builds strong relationships across Sales, Marketing and Central functions
  • Confidence operating at pace Comfortable owning processes, juggling priorities and delivering impact within a fixed‑term role
