Vehicle Technician

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Vehicle Technician at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Vauxhall in Alloa, Scotland. This full-time on-site role offers a salary of £40,000 – £50,000 plus performance bonuses and extensive benefits.

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary (range depends on experience)
  • Earn up to £9,000 every three years in performance-based bonuses

Hours

  • Monday to Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm
  • Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Saturday morning on a rota

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance of vehicles
  • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues
  • Use computer-based diagnostic equipment
  • Repairing or replacing broken/defective parts and resolving defects
  • Road testing vehicles to check repairs
  • Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition
  • Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed
  • Completing all documentation to the required standard
  • Carrying out MOT vehicle testing (if authorised)

We’re looking for Vehicle Technicians or Mechanics with:

  • Level 3 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Solid work experience in the automotive industry
  • The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner
  • Ability to work as a team player and on your own initiative
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to carry out work to high standards to deadlines
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • MOT Licence (not essential)
  • A full UK driving license (essential)
