Vehicle Technician

The Role

  • Carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work
  • Complete electrical and engine repair work
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and address issues
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workspace
  • Communicate successfully with customers where needed to explain repair findings and recommendations.

Ideal Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
  • Car servicing and repair experience in either a main dealership, independent garage or other car servicing company
  • Be enthusiastic, respectful and friendly to guests and colleagues
  • MOT Licence (not essential)
  • UK Driving Licence (essential)

Salary & Benefits

Basic Salary £30,000 – £45,000 (based on experience) plus uncapped bonus scheme from £6,000 per year. OTE £36,000 – £50,000 per year. Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 5.30pm, Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm. No Saturdays. 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, discounts on repairs and car sales, ongoing professional training, career development opportunities.
