FULL DESCRIPTION

Vehicle Technician

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Vehicle Technician in Glasgow. Full-time, on-site role with a salary range of £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary plus performance bonuses and benefits.

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary (range depends on experience)
  • Earn up to £9,000 every three years in performance-based bonuses

Hours

Monday to Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm, Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Saturday morning on a rota.

Location

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance of vehicles
  • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues
  • Use computer-based diagnostic equipment
  • Repairing or replacing broken/defective parts
  • Road testing vehicles to check repairs
  • Maintaining equipment and tools
  • Following checklists for procedures
  • Completing documentation to standard
  • Carrying out MOT vehicle testing (if authorised)

Requirements

  • Level 3 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Solid work experience in automotive industry
  • Competent and efficient working ability
  • Team player and ability to work on own initiative
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to meet high standards and deadlines
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • MOT Licence (not essential)
  • Full UK driving license (essential)
