FULL DESCRIPTION
Workshop Controller
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking a Workshop Controller to join their Bodyshop Team in Basingstoke. The role involves controlling workshop workflow, allocating tasks, conducting quality checks, and liaising with customers and departments.

- Salary: £37,000 – £52,000 OTE
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure all workshop employees carryout their tasks correctly according to BS10125.
- Liaise will all other departments to ensure the work flows through the Bodyshop.
- Communicate effectively with the customers to keep them reassured about the work being carried out on their vehicle.
- Allocate the work to the productive team, setting up the job cards with quality check sheets to ensure the work remains at a high standard.
- Carry out the quality checks on the repairs and the final quality control to ensure consistency in standards.
- Liaise with subcontractors/estimators if extra work is required.
- Communicate effectively with: other departments; engineers; auditors; and customers to ensure all parties are updated and have the correct information and reflect this in the management systems.
What qualifications and experience you’ll need:
- Previous experience within the automotive industry, particularly workshop control or technician.
- Organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues across different departments, both face-to-face and via email.
- Motivated and able to motivate others
- Leadership and ability to delegate.
- Ability to work under pressure
