Teacher (Technology) (with Food and Nutrition Specialism)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Technology with the ability to teach food and nutrition at KS4 at King Edward VII Academy. This is a permanent, full-time position starting September 2026. The role includes teaching the curriculum, preparing pupils for examinations, and contributing to school life.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain professional conduct and engage in performance management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, external agencies, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Participate in meetings, quality assurance, and school events.
  • Promote Trust and Academy ethos, policies, and Health & Safety.
  • Ensure pupil safeguarding, welfare, attendance, and behaviour.
  • Serve as form tutor and deliver pastoral programmes.
  • Plan collaboratively, set homework, adapt teaching for SEND/EAL.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide reports.

About You

The successful candidate must have a commitment to changing lives, strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and creativity. Essential qualifications include an appropriate degree, QTS (or on track), knowledge of statutory requirements, and experience teaching the subject in secondary school up to KS4 with food technology ability.
