Senior Engineer (Sizewell C)
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Senior Engineer to strengthen their Eastern Region team. The role is based at Sizewell C and involves working on large infrastructure schemes in East Anglia, initially on road projects in Harwich and Leiston.
Main Duties
- Undertake day to day setting out duties with no supervision
- Train, manage and mentor Junior Engineers
- Manage and monitor all site sample / performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification.
- Complete hazard / risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage the site service plans/ drawings. Issue permits accordingly.
- Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing the relevant information for records and claims purposes.
- Monitor and control temporary works.
- Develop and maintain relations with client, suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Proactive problem solver, confident communicator, with ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals.
- Good and extensive setting out experience working on infrastructure projects including highways, roads and earthworks.
- Must be capable of working with Leica/Geomax equipment and transferring information from AutoCAD to the surveying equipment.
- Good understanding of ITPs and quality assurance process.
- Good leadership skills and understanding of construction practices.
- Full UK driving license essential; happy to travel throughout Eastern Region.
- First Aid at Work qualification desirable.
