[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a major low-carbon energy project. This permanent, full-time role is based in London on a hybrid basis with travel to Suffolk. Salary is competitive plus benefits. Closing date: Wednesday 13th May 2026.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Specialist to join the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] project team. You will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, sustainability, and best practice across civils program construction phase.
About You
- Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in environmental management within construction, infrastructure, or energy projects
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and environmental permitting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide Client interface management support
- Provide oversight to TOC Assurance & Contractual Incentives
- Ensuring all Environment and Sustainability Commitments and Requirements from the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Client are embedded in CWA Arrangements
- Undertake coordination of assurance activities
- Ensuring the Alliance is fulfilling its Level 1 (Self Checking) Assurance of its work in line with their Environmental and Sustainability Arrangements
- Supporting the link with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] PC Environment Function in conducting proportionate and risk informed assurance
- Ensuring learning report actions are addressed
- Providing advice and guidance to the Civil Work Programme and Civils Works Alliance on [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Environmental and Sustainability obligations
- Assisting CWP Environmental Risk management
