Accountabilities

• To support the installation activities of the HPC MEH HVAC scope on site through collaboration and coordination with site teams, through to handover to commissioning.
• This is a site delivery role, there is a necessity to work under the time pressure of the schedule in order to unblock technical issues to allow continuity of work by the installation teams.
• The HVAC Construction Manager is part of a wider of team of Leaders reporting to the Mechanical Lead supporting the delivery of the installation.
• Support the Area and Building Leads, and Construction Engineers in the day-to-day construction planning, engineering and works progression.
• Accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the MEH construction activities.
• Ensure that preconstruction and installation are intrinsically linked, using the building engineers as required to facilitate sequencing of installation that maximises efficiency.
• Manage project change within your discipline ensuring that the project change process is adhered to.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant construction discipline or HVAC engineering with extensive experience working in this type of role or 10 years' experience in a site construction management role.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and installation.
• Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
• CCNSG Safety Passport (Or MAPS).
• Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS or higher.
• Proven experience in safely delivering large scale construction or engineering projects including working at a management level of authority.

Experience

• Managing the technical issues relating to the installation of HVAC (construction activities), in particular: writing of the documentation for erection activities.
• Supporting Technical Queries. Resolving the construction Open Points.
• Coordinate all the engineering activities to support construction sequence, including identification and implementation of improvements to processes and ways of working (e.g., redlining process on site).
• Ensure integration of the needs for activities post-construction (completion team) into the construction sequence (for instance: Commissioning Test Pack review and acceptance).
