We're looking for a talented Practice Manager to join our Primary Care Team based at our prestigious private patient GP Practice - The London General Practice. As a GP Practice Manager you'll be responsible for overseeing all administrative operations within the practice, ensuring delivery of efficient, high-quality services that meet the needs of patients and clinicians. This role provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management of practice staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You'll also play an active role in developing and implementing projects, setting up continuous improvement measures including practice audits and streamlining work processes.
What You'll Do
- Oversees all daily practice operations, including management of medical secretaries, appointment scheduling, clinical letters, billing procedures.
- Ensures adequate number of appropriately trained professionals on duty.
- Ensures smooth running of the practice and highest levels of customer service to patients and GPs.
- Makes written and oral reports to leadership concerning operations.
- Performs weekly and monthly practice financial audits, reporting discrepancies.
- Oversees invoicing, debt collection and practice accounts.
- Investigates and responds to complaints with compassion.
What You'll Bring
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in practice management or supervisory role in healthcare, ideally private practice.
- Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, payroll, financial reporting.
- Confident people manager with experience leading and developing teams.
- Proficient in practice management systems and operational reporting.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise in busy environment.
- Good understanding of medical terminology, patient confidentiality, and high standards of patient care.
