Job Overview

The unit opened in September 2025 and consists of provision for 8 pupils with MLD/cognition needs and 8 pupils for assessment and observation. The successful applicant will deliver curriculum and assessment, with SEND qualifications and experience highly desirable.

Main Purpose & Responsibilities

  • Implement a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for SEND students.
  • Monitor and support student progress and development.
  • Assess, record and report on student attainment.
  • Undertake pastoral duties as a Form Tutor.
  • Use varied teaching methods to stimulate learning.
  • Maintain discipline in line with school procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and external agencies.
