Technical Lead (M365 Focus)
This is a remote position. The Technical Lead serves as a high‑tier technical resource within the Managed Services Service Desk team, providing expert‑level troubleshooting, advanced incident resolution, and guidance for complex technical challenges. This role acts as the primary escalation point and reports to the Service Desk manager.

Job Role & Responsibilities
- Technical Escalation & Expert Troubleshooting: Serve as the final escalation point for complex or high‑severity technical issues. Diagnose and resolve advanced issues across networking, virtualization, security platforms, Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and Windows Server.
- Proactive Alert Monitoring & Response: Monitor security alerts, triage based on severity and SLAs, and troubleshoot recurring alerts.
- Escalated Ticket Ownership: Own and resolve Tier 3+ escalated tickets with complete documentation and SLA adherence.
- Operational Coordination: Coordinate with service desk leadership, communicate with clients during alerts, and perform end-of-shift handoffs.
- Technical Advisory & Best Practices: Advise teams and clients on best practices, collaborate on design initiatives, and stay current with industry trends.
- Alert‑Driven Process Improvement: Analyze alert patterns, improve workflows, tune monitoring platforms, and maintain documentation.
- Coaching & Knowledge Transfer: Mentor analysts, support onboarding, lead workshops, and conduct post-incident reviews.
- Other Responsibilities: Process design, documentation, and flexibility as needed.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, engineering, or security.
- Deep technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, etc.) desired.
- Experience with Cisco networking, Fortinet, Threat Locker, Microsoft Sentinel, Halo ITSM, N-Able monitoring.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA/SSPR, Cloud PC, Windows App access.
- Ability to interpret sign-in logs, token issuance failures, security alert context.
- Operational judgment, sound decision-making under pressure, comfortable blocking risky changes.
- Clear, decisive communication in team chats, escalation threads, and with senior engineers.
