FULL DESCRIPTION

Analyst

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an Analyst to support teams in climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. This is a fully remote, home-based position. The gross annual salary ranges from £22,500 to £36,000.

Duties

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, including literature reviews and background searches on sustainable energy and climate change.
  • Collect data via desktop research, interviews, surveys; analyse data (GHG emissions calculations, financial/economic analysis, policy analysis).
  • Draft and present findings in presentations and reports.
  • Coordinate inputs from co-workers and external contractors.
  • Devise strategies and interventions based on situation analysis and client requirements.
  • Schedule, attend, and contribute to assignment-related meetings.
  • Support tender preparation and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain project filing and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree and outstanding academic record.
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience.
  • MS Excel / Google Sheets expert with exceptional data structuring and analysis skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Fluency in another language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian/Croatian, Arabic, Turkish, Chinese).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, empathetic and open.
  • Sound knowledge of energy access and/or climate mitigation/resilience sectors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly conversant with Internet and office applications.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet challenging deadlines.

Highly Desirable

  • Computer programming knowledge and experience.
  • Relevant experience in Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and/or Asia-Pacific.
  • Network of contacts in sustainable and international development.
  • Experience with international technical assistance projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainable cities/transport, renewable energy, climate adaptation, or financial/economic analysis.
