Salary: Competitive Salary

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of your allocated section within the kitchen
  • Supervise and support junior chefs working within your section
  • Monitor portion and waste control to help maintain profit margins
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the development of new dishes and menu ideas
  • Report any defects, maintenance issues, or repairs within kitchen areas using the maintenance recording system
  • Ensure your section is fully stocked and prepared for service
  • Operate kitchen machinery and equipment safely and correctly, following training guidelines
  • Ensure all meals leaving the kitchen are presented to the required standard
  • Support our sustainability initiatives by following Green Engage guidelines where applicable
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with local food safety regulations

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills and an approachable manner
  • Good knowledge of local food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, including warm kitchen and cool storage areas
  • A strong team player who thrives in a close-knit team environment
