About the Company

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a full-service publishing company providing dynamic distribution, sales, marketing, data management and consultancy services to commercial and university press academic publishers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to design and update marketing material, including flyers, adverts, web banners, social media graphics and catalogues. Working with our in-house designer where necessary.
  • Collaborating with the wider University Press team and other [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] divisions for marketing projects & administrative tasks.
  • Conducting email campaigns to our subscribers and working with external associations.
  • Coordinate our presence at academic conferences.
  • Attending academic events representing both [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and our client University Presses.
  • Supporting authors with promotion of new publications including supporting events.
  • Compilation of marketing reports for clients.
  • Reviewing and processing inspection copy requests, media requests and paid author orders.
  • Maintenance of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] website.
  • Monitoring the enquiries@ and reviews@ inboxes.
  • Joining sales call presentations with our client publishers.
  • Reviewing new season catalogues to identify international authors and titles with regional interest.

Skills Sought

  • A keen eye for detail
  • Experience in marketing, publishing or a related role desirable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects
  • Confidence using databases and Excel
  • Knowledge of Affinity, InDesign or other comparable design software desirable but not essential
