Senior Communications Officer

About the Role

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we’re looking for a Senior Communications Officer to lead and elevate our internal and external communications, supporting our growing franchise network and helping us tell powerful stories that matter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid communications or PR experience who is ready to step up into a more influential, visible role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of internal and external communications across the network
  • Write and distribute press releases, articles, newsletters, and statements
  • Build relationships with local and national media to secure coverage
  • Support and guide franchise owners on their communications and PR activity
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging
  • Identify and respond to PR opportunities and sector news
  • Support the creation of case studies for newsletters and advertorials
  • Support crisis communications and reputation management when needed
  • Work as part of the marketing team aligning campaigns and messaging
  • Monitor and report on PR and communications activity

About You

We’re looking for someone who is confident, proactive, and ready to step up. You might currently be a Communications Executive, PR Executive, or Marketing Executive with a strong communications focus.

  • 2–4 years’ experience in communications, PR, or a related role
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders professionally
  • Experience working with or supporting multiple stakeholders (e.g. clients, branches, or teams)
  • Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
  • A proactive mindset—you spot opportunities and act on them
  • Interest in media relations and building PR coverage
