Locum Town Clerk
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an experienced Locum Town Clerk for a part-time, fully remote contract. Responsibilities include governance, agenda preparation, and compliance. Requires prior Town Clerk experience.

Responsibilities
- Acting as Town Clerk, ensuring the council operates in line with statutory requirements
- Preparing agendas, minutes and supporting documentation for council meetings
- Providing governance and procedural advice to councillors
- Managing correspondence and maintaining council records
- Supporting financial processes, budgeting and audit requirements where necessary
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practice
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Town Clerk or within a parish/local council
- Strong understanding of local council governance and procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage workload flexibly
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
Contract Details
- Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
- 10–12 hours per week
- Fully remote working
- Flexible hours – work can be completed at your own convenience
- Ongoing contract with potential for extension
