Responsibilities:

Acting as Town Clerk, ensuring the council operates in line with statutory requirements
Preparing agendas, minutes and supporting documentation for council meetings
Providing governance and procedural advice to councillors
Managing correspondence and maintaining council records
Supporting financial processes, budgeting and audit requirements where necessary
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practice

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Town Clerk or within a parish/local council
Strong understanding of local council governance and procedures
Ability to work independently and manage workload flexibly
Excellent organisational and communication skills

Contract Details:

Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
10–12 hours per week
Fully remote working
Flexible hours – work can be completed at your own convenience
Ongoing contract with potential for extension
