[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Limited, part of the Qlar Group, is seeking a Service Engineer (Mechanical) to deliver expert mechanical maintenance, installation, and service solutions across industrial customer sites in the South of England. Salary £38,000 per annum plus benefits. Full-Time, Permanent.
Job Overview

As a Service Engineer you will travel across the UK, carrying out service inspections, installations and maintenance work, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Service Engineer will also support customer relationships, provide technical guidance and contribute to business growth by promoting [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s site services to an established client base.
Duties
- Service Inspections: Conduct site visits and produce detailed service reports on equipment condition
- Installation Projects: Manage and carry out new equipment installations and major refits
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all permits are in place and site regulations are followed
- Customer Support: Provide technical advice and maintain strong client relationships
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate teams of engineers when required
- Business Development: Identify opportunities to promote additional service and maintenance work
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service visits, reports and recommendations
- Training Delivery: Support customers with equipment operation and maintenance guidance
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and technical teams to improve products and services
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer within a mechanical or industrial environment
- Strong fault finding, maintenance and problem-solving skills
- Experience with mechanical systems, installations and servicing
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence using MS Office, email and basic IT systems
- Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on customer service and safety
