Job Description
A fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused hospitality professional to lead front of house operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and support a busy café environment with strong team leadership, service excellence, and operational coordination skills.

Duties
- Team Leadership: Supervise front of house staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming and professional environment
- Operational Management: Coordinate daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and workflow
- Staff Training and Development: Support onboarding and training across service standards, menus, and allergen awareness
- Stock Control and Inventory: Monitor stock levels, manage deliveries, and minimise waste through effective rotation
- Financial Administration: Operate POS systems, manage cash handling, and complete accurate end-of-day procedures
- Service Standards and Presentation: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, layout, and visual presentation
- Event Support: Assist with catering and hospitality for private events and bookings
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to food hygiene, allergen regulations, and health and safety procedures
- Team Communication: Deliver clear briefings and maintain effective communication across shifts
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team in a busy customer-facing or hospitality environment
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering an excellent visitor experience
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, professional, and enthusiastic approach
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive working practices
Desirable
- Experience with barista duties and coffee preparation using commercial machines
- Knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and POS systems
- Understanding of food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health and safety standards
- Experience supporting events or catering services
