Responsibilities:

Managing a caseload of local authority litigation matters
Advising on a range of civil litigation and enforcement matters
Drafting legal documents including pleadings, witness statements and notices
Providing clear and pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders
Liaising with external counsel and third parties as required
Managing matters through to conclusion with minimal supervision

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive in England & Wales
Experience handling litigation matters within a local authority or public sector setting
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Willingness to attend court on a rare basis if required

Contract Details:

Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
Fully remote working
12-month contract
