Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of local authority litigation matters
  • Advising on a range of civil litigation and enforcement matters
  • Drafting legal documents including pleadings, witness statements and notices
  • Providing clear and pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders
  • Liaising with external counsel and third parties as required
  • Managing matters through to conclusion with minimal supervision

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive in England & Wales
  • Experience handling litigation matters within a local authority or public sector setting
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Willingness to attend court on a rare basis if required

Contract Details:

  • Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
