Title: Conservation Officer
Location: Norfolk
Contract: 6-month, 15-37 hours/week
Pay: £40+ per hour

Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conservation Officer to join a Local Authority in the North West on an initial 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who can hit the ground running and support a busy planning and heritage team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage a caseload of heritage and conservation applications, including listed building consent and planning proposals
- Provide expert advice on conservation matters to planning officers, developers, and stakeholders
- Support the protection and enhancement of heritage assets across the borough
- Contribute to conservation area appraisals and policy development
- Assist with enforcement and appeals relating to heritage issues
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority conservation/planning team
- Strong knowledge of heritage legislation and planning policy
- Ability to manage workload independently in a part-time capacity
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with stakeholders
