FULL DESCRIPTION
Brand Protection Analyst / Cyber-investigator
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Brand Protection Analyst / Cyber-investigator for a 1-year fixed-term contract (part-time or full-time) in Nottingham or London with hybrid working. This role supports the Head of Brand Intelligence in delivering brand protection services.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and analysing content across online platforms including marketplaces, social media, websites, app stores, and search engines.
- Identifying and reporting instances of infringement (counterfeits, trademark abuse, copyright infringement, impersonation, phishing) to platforms and intermediaries.
- Monitoring resolution of reported cases and escalating matters where required.
- Maintaining accurate records of enforcement actions and producing Data & Insights reports.
- Gathering intelligence on infringement to inform strategic decision-making.
- Handling client enquiries professionally and contributing to process improvements.

- Excellent technical and analytical skills with ability to navigate the web and process large data volumes.

- Advanced Excel skills including data cleaning and analysis.
- Working knowledge of Python for web scraping and automation.
- Familiarity with OSINT tools and techniques.
Desirable Requirements
- Degree or current studies in analytical/technical discipline, or relevant work experience.
- Experience with international languages and non-Latin scripts.
- Understanding of VMs and VPNs for secure browsing.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with trademark, design, and copyright concepts.
- Genuine interest in working within the IP sector.
