Technical Consultant
Location: Leeds, Yorkshire & the Humber | Salary: Up to £60,000 pa | Work Type: Hybrid (3 days office, 2 home after probation) | Job Type: Full-time

The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a significant part in the development, support, and implementation of our client’s fully adaptable ERP integration system. You will consult with clients and manage multiple projects whilst also carrying out small development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting on software installations and updates.
- Development work using XSLT
- Creating various development RunSets: External data connectors (web services, FTP, EDI networks), Internal ERP connectors (SAP Business One, Sage), Data transformation (XML to CSV) requiring XSLT maps
- Picking up escalated tickets from the support team
- Project Management: creation of project documentation, supporting sales team with quotes, managing timelines, attending customer meetings, training end users
Key Skills
- Client facing work with ERP systems (consultant or technical support)
- XSLT development or programming experience
- Demonstrable technical scripting or programming experience – Java, PHP, .NET
- Understanding of CSV and XML
- Demonstrable experience of SQL Server Queries
- Excellent project management and customer facing capabilities
- Strong understanding of business management processes (order management, stock control, invoicing)
Desirable Technical Skills
- Exposure to SAP Business One or Sage ERP systems
- Experience of EDI standards and systems
- Basic understanding of SOAP and REST web services
- Strong understanding of AI and Microsoft Copilot tools and concepts
The Candidate
This role would suit a candidate with strong technical skills and previous experience in an ERP consultant or support role. Knowledge of XSLT, solid technical scripting or programming experience, and ability to advise and consult clients. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful project completion.
