FULL DESCRIPTION

Production Operative

Salary: £12.77 per hour (circa £26,560 per annum)

Location: Bedale, Yorkshire & the Humber

Core Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week), occasional Saturday

Key Responsibilities

Working within a busy, clean, and safety‑focused production environment.
Operating, monitoring, and controlling food processing machinery.
Ensuring smooth production flow along conveyor‑based production lines.
Carrying out daily housekeeping, cleanliness, and hygiene tasks.
Stopping machinery immediately and reporting to a supervisor if any issues arise.
Maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
Wearing and correctly using all provided PPE including protective clothing, boots, hairnets, and beard masks.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
Good awareness of health & safety and basic hygiene rules.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain concentration during repetitive tasks.
Confident working both individually and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexibly to meet production demands.

Essential Requirements

Flexible approach to work and open to working additional hours during peak production periods
Driving licence required
Permanent Right to Work in the UK, residing within a commutable distance to Bedale. No visa sponsorship available.
