FULL DESCRIPTION
Lecturer - Fashion
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Fashion Lecturer for the Fort William Campus. This is a part-time, temporary role to June 2027. Salary range £41,833 - £50,359 per annum (pro-rata). Closing date: 12pm, Friday 22nd May 2026.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide structured training to fashion students using a variety of approaches. Responsibilities include carrying out assessments, maintaining accurate assessment records, evaluating student performance, and highlighting support needs as appropriate.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- SCQF Level 7-12 qualification in a relevant subject area (normally above the level being taught)
- Teaching qualification (preferably TQFE, PGDE or equivalent, or Masters in Education)
- Proven track record of effective planning to deliver engaging learning, teaching, assessment and supervision
- Good communication skills, self-motivated, enthusiastic, ability to problem solve and work independently
- Experience of pattern drafting and garment construction
- Strong sewing skills
- Ability to use video conferencing applications and good digital skills
- Gaelic ability would be advantageous
