Assistant Accountant at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group

[Employer hidden] Group is hiring an Assistant Accountant / Senior Finance Executive. The role involves transaction processing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, month-end schedules, and working with ERP systems. The ideal candidate is pursuing CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA or AAT membership, with 1-2 years experience and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

The Role

Provide daily and periodic support on transaction processing across accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, fixed assets and related areas
Follow transaction support processes and relevant quality control guidelines to ensure quality and accuracy
Effective and regular follow-up with client teams on supporting documents and information for recording transactions as required
Prepare month-end schedules and reconciliations
Work closely with the client finance teams
Prepare and process accounting entries related to the General Ledger in ERP systems
Prepare month-end schedules and reconciliations
Perform assigned tasks related to month-end closure

The Person

Pursuing CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA or a member of AAT
A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Age between 25-35 with 1-2 years of related experience
Understanding of Accounting Standards
Experience working with reputed ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
Good working knowledge of Excel
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, as you will work closely with operational teams
