[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is hiring a Senior Accountant / Accountant - UK. This hybrid role involves managing accounting needs for UK clients using Xero, Sage, and Dext.

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented accountant to join our growing team supporting a UK-based accountancy practice. This role involves managing the day-to-day accounting needs of multiple clients across various industries. You will work extensively with Xero, Sage, Excel, and Dext, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, VAT compliance, and effective communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and Transaction Management using Xero and Sage, processing bank reconciliations, sales/purchase ledgers, payroll journals, month-end entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
VAT and Compliance: Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns under HMRC's MTD, ensuring correct VAT treatment including reverse charge.
Management Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Forecasts, Budget vs Actual) and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements

Part-qualified CA, ACCA, or CIMA.
2–3 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping, ideally within a UK accountancy firm.
Proficient in Xero, Sage, Dext, and advanced Excel.
Solid understanding of UK VAT rules and compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105 is an added advantage.
