Business Development Executive

The role involves building partnerships, researching opportunities, generating sales leads, and supporting the commercial services team. Key responsibilities include CRM management, event sales, and collaboration with marketing. Candidates need business development or sales experience, strong communication skills, and a driving license.
Main Responsibilities
- Create and harness partnerships with like-minded businesses to support delivery of services
- Support Business Development by completing research, preparing prospecting information, and developing sales plans and proposals
- Drive sponsorship, exhibition and ticket sales for events using email, social media, telephone and in person
- Generate sales opportunities through prospecting, outbound calls, and email introductions
- Collaborate with marketing team to create compelling value propositions and sales materials
- Maintain accurate records on CRM system, business development pipeline, and storage of documents
- Report on pipeline and performance at sales meetings
- Proactively suggest improvements to sales processes

Essential Requirements
- Business development, sales or account management experience
- Ambitious, highly motivated and confident self-starter
- Results orientated with experience of meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, proficient in Microsoft 365
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Proficient at using CRM systems

- Formal Sales and marketing qualifications or training
- Evidence of success in a Business Development role in Professional Services
- Established network of business contacts
