About the Role
Are you a caring individual who enjoys working with people? Then join our committed community outreach team in Barrow. As a support worker you can support adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live their best lives. The successful candidate will engage with service users and build trusting, therapeutic, relationships.
The role includes visiting service users in their own homes or in other settings and offering practical support to enable them to live independently while also offering emotional support in accordance with their individual support plans. The support role includes helping with daily living tasks such as cooking, appointments, medication and money management.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible rota (full-time 37.5 hours or part-time 22.5 hours per week)
- Ability to lone work using own initiative (essential)
- Being a car driver and car owner (or access to a vehicle) is essential – mileage allowance paid
