Female Support Worker
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Female Support Worker to provide person-centred care and support to adults on the autism spectrum – who may also have learning disabilities and complex needs. You will support them in all aspects of everyday life, alongside promoting and encouraging engagement in community activities. This is a part-time position (28 hours per week) based in Fazakerley, Merseyside. Salary: £12.85 per hour. Closing date: Thursday 14th May 2026.
Support Worker Duties
- Providing respectful, practical and emotional support with daily living tasks, including personal care and domestic duties
- Daily collaborating with service users, their families and involved professionals
- Supporting individuals to engage in fun activities which they enjoy in and around the areas of Fazakerley, Knowsley and the City of Liverpool, e.g. going to the cinema, on walks, swimming, to the pub and on days out
- Maximising service user outcomes by promoting independence, confidence and self-esteem
Requirements
You will have skills in positive communication and engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will have the required skills and qualities to manage behaviours that challenge the environment and others, and will have the maturity to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos. Car drivers are preferred but not essential.
