About the Role

We are seeking someone who is warm, sociable, and a great listener. As a Befriender, you will spend time with the people we support, offering friendly conversation and companionship through regular meet-ups. Activities might include having a relaxed cup of tea, playing a board game, or getting out and about in the community. This role could develop into planning and delivering regular activities.

Volunteer Duties

• Meet on a regular basis
• Provide companionship and conversation whilst respecting boundaries
• Help people we support to engage with the local community, supporting social inclusion and encouraging independence
• Report any safeguarding concerns to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] staff members
• Understand and work within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
• Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
